A. I need to incorporate strength training into my weekly routine. My flabby upper arms are not going to change their shape through running alone. Swimming will help, but I hear Tony Horton calling my name. It's a whisper, but I can still hear it.
B. I need to cook more, find nutritious recipes, actually shop for the ingredients, then make dinner. I have the ingredients, in MY kitchen, for the loaded Sweet Potato with turkey and two kinds of salsas that they made on Tuesday's episode.

3. I ran 5 miles, super slow, Monday morning. My Garmin stayed at home. Tuesday, after waiting too long, I ended up with 4 miles in the rain. There's something to be said for getting up and getting out the door right away. If you don't, the rains will come.
I'm in a bit of a funk this week. Very uninspired to work out and run. Looking forward to shaking this off and getting some enthusiasm back.

I love strength training. I just hat making the time for it. Seems tedious when you are trying to squeeze just one more thing in.
I cook dinner ever single night. From scratch. It's time consuming between the planning, shopping and prep, but I love always knowing exactly what's in things. And aside from when we travel, we probably only eat out once a month.
uninspired happens. it'll come back.
I love cooking. I also love being lazy, so I would jump at the chance to not cook, but The H is stingy with his eating out. RUDE.
Ah. Tony. I miss him. Sort of. I remember the first time I did one of those workouts and I could barely move for like 5 days.
I have the lazy AND the sick right now.
I hope that your week gets better. I have been feeling unispired and unmotivated too. At least tomorrow is Friday and hopefully we can both get more enthusiastic for the weekend. :-)
some of the upper body workouts are intense bc I hate pushups and pullups--- you can avoid both with the "shoulder and arms" section- personal fave.
You should look into kettlebells--- huge improvment for me in my upper body
You can do it!! Strength training is very beneficial. Ever since my injury it is a part of my weekly routine.
I love to strength train! And as far as sweet potatoes go, I could eat them for every meal with nothing on them. Probably my favorite food! :)

Ugh, I'm in a total funk, too. Stupid weather.
Funk schmunk. Weather blows. When is your next vacation? Maybe come to saint Maarten with us next week?
totally hear ya on the funk. i'm on a major sweet potato kick too. wrap in wet paper towel and microwave for 5 minutes. my perfect snack!
Hope you are feeling better and you are more motivated this week. If not, do some retail therapy. Always helps me :)
