Yoga/Stretch workouts planned/completed: 7/2. L.a.z.y. I can do Yoga while watching TV and still chose to skip most of the workouts.
Non-workout days Planned/Taken: 11/17. Big shocker. If I don't start working out more, I may have to start reviewing two months at a time.
Half Marathons planned/completed: 2/2.
Mississippi Blues Half Marathon (State #18)
| In Jackson, with Elizabeth. |
| In Phoenix, with Jodi. |
Long Runs Planned/Ran: 4/3.
Spin Class Workouts Planned/Spun: 7/3.
Weight (Abs) Circuits: 7/3.
Current Ache/Pain: My right calf didn't bother me much, until I wore my Glycerins for a few short runs.
Current Book (s): The alphabet mysteries by Sue Grafton. I'm hooked. I've read A-F, except for D. But, the D book just came in at the library, D is for Deadbeat. I'm enjoying this series so much, I've ignored Gone Girl, which I finally got from the library as well.
Current Wish List: To continue to figure out halfs for the last 6 months of 2013. The website for the North Dakota race I've been eyeing disappeared. This lack of concern for my double half marathon weekend needs, from the state of North Dakota, is disconcerting.
I'm now considering the Wild Hog Half Marathon, in Grand Forks, ND, 9/28. This city is conveniently located near the border of Minnesota. **Note to Minnesota--Please have a half marathon on 9/29 so this could become a ND/MN double weekend.**
Current Excitement: All basketball all the time. A's high school team is undefeated and T's 5th grade team is playing well. I avoid races in February and early March, so not to miss any hoops.
Do you know of a half in Minnesota on 9/29?

Current Drink: Water. And the occasional mango cucumber martini.
Current Song (s): The Riff Off - Pitch Perfect. We might be obsessed with this movie at my house. S and A even bought the complete box set- DVD and Blue Ray.
Current Gratitude: S' black eye is almost completely gone. I'm kind of tired of looking at the evidence of my abuse.
Current Dislike (s): Cloudy skies and rain.
Current Goal: No races in February. I'd like to get my motivation back and follow through with a good base building running routine.
Current Treat: I've been in a workout/running funk for the last few weeks (see stats above). How to shake it? A trip to Road Runner Sports. Sometimes a girl just needs some new pink running shoes.

I DONT---but I am in in in and so determined to ROCK MY FEB.
Miz.
I haven't forgotten to log a workout in DM yet, but sometimes I am a few days late.
I am surprised you have no races in February. I hope that you can catch some rest since you have been such a jet setter lately. I actually have a 1/2 at the end of month in Richland. Rethinking my thought process on that one. It is Saturday morning and I would have to be at 4 am to leave.....Not so sure about that now!
Can't help you with Minnesota. But ping me when you are coming to do the Albuquerque Half Marathon. You'll be in my neck of the woods (or I guess desert is more appropriate)
Sounds like you just needed a bit of a break with working out...although running two halfs still shows that you put in some major effort!!
Love your new pink shoes. ANYTHING for motivation. Anything.
Everyone deserves a break after a goal race! Great month girly!
Pitch Perfect was an AWESOME movie. I watched it TWICE over Christmas.
Lack of motivation seems to be running rampant through my bloggy friends. Hope you find it soon!
1.) good call on asking about MN race, hopefully someone comes to our rescue.
2.) Are the 6s built like the 5? I wouldn't mind hot pink shoes... then we can REALLY be matchy matchy!
3.) what about Bismark 1/2 in ND- there is an actual airport in bismark :)
I love those pink shoes. Maybe those will help with the return of your motivation?
Mmmm... mango cucumber martini. Sounds lovely!
Um NOOOOO, you're doing MN on Aug. 31 with me, remember?!?! Women Rock! ;)
The riff-off is the best. Loved that movie!
January is a tough months and on top of it, it is cold and snowy. Hang in there, I'm sure you'll get your mojo back soon!
