Seven Miles and S'moreos

This week's mid week long run mileage was 7 miles.  Yep, I ran 7 miles yesterday morning.  I couldn't help but feel so proud of myself.  If 6 miles mid week is bada$$, 7 miles is even better!  I headed out, after the rain had passed, listening to Jillian Michaels and the Another Mother Runner podcasts.  Thoroughly entertained for 1:12:18.

I found a couple of healthy new to me dinner recipes.  One side of my conscience spends my Pinterest time stocking up on veggie and salad recipes.  The Crispy Quinoa Patties I made for dinner last night were actually quite good.  Quinoa was not an ingredient my mother ever cooked with when I was growing up, I feel so sophisticated cooking with it. (I never make pork chops or meatloaf, sorry Mom.)

More importantly, the rest of my Pinterest is filled with yummy treats.  Since S was gone last night and he yelled at me informed me at the grocery store that he didn't want me buying these ingredients, I made Peanut Butter Cup S'moreo Bars.

Yeah, if he was home he wouldn't be able to control himself and not eat some of this ooey gooey goodness.  Oreo cookie base, peanut butter, toasted marshmallows, Reese's and chocolate chips. A and I both went into sugar comas last night.  I'm bringing the rest of it to work so I don't eat too much.

Doesn't everyone deserve a treat after running 7 miles on a Tuesday?  I think so.

Good job on your 7 miles. For me anything over 5 miles during the week is tough scheduling. Congrats on getting them in!

I so must make some of that ooey gooey goodness!! I'll be a king in my kids eyes!

Awesome job on the 7 miles! Your treat looks really yummy. I would have zero self control if I had made something that looked that good.

Good job on the long run! Way to counteract it, too, hahaha!

I love toasted marshmallows...yum. I make it a policy to only have a treat after a long run, but thankfully for me, I only run long once a week.

I completely blame you... My hubby's usual text on his way home from work "Need anything?"
My response last night was "Peanut butter and chocolate"
LOL
