Since my family will be at home, watching the Ducks play Virginia on TV, during our 2pm start time, I took Trisha up on her offer. For $10, the registration was transferred into my name. Easy.
Trisha had lots of local running buddies to choose from. I'm not sure what made her think to invite me. I've done one mud run before, two years ago, but I'm really not very adventurous. During the Dirty Dash 10k, I even ran around a few obstacles.

Since this turned into a race weekend, I'm running long today. Can't wait to run 10 miles in downtown Portland. Hopefully the rain will stay away.
Most importantly, post long run, we're reviving (what shall now be called) Flapjack Friday. I've missed dining out in my city, since I've been traveling the last few weekends. Today, we're hoping the line is short at Slappy Cakes, for our post run breakfast. We'll be making our own pancakes, right at our table!
Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!
