1. The Women Rock half marathon was a terrific all women's race. The expotique was a short walk from our hotel (and the race start) at the RiverCentre Convention Center. Last Friday it was awash in pink.

|After giving us tattoos, the Amusee wine guys were kind enough to pose. They were back post race serving champagne.|

4. Downtown St. Paul is full of hotels, restaurants and parks. Much to mine and LJ's delight, there were Peanuts statues everywhere. Charles Shultz, the creator, lived in St. Paul.

6. Patty and I discovered Candyland, a short walk from our hotel. The clerk said they are famous for their peanut clusters and Chicago Mix popcorn, so I bought enough to snack on on the plane.

|Love that "our" states are right next to each other. How fitting for my buddy and me who have run so many states "together".|
Other than the heat, Minnesota turned out to be a great trip. State #26 in the books. Next up? The Montana Half Marathon in Billings on 9/15!
Have you been stopped by TSA? Gotten anything taken away?
Seems like I get stopped all the time. Years ago, I had a credit card size pocket knife/nail file taken. Another trip I gave up oversized tubes of Mary Kay face cleanser. Oh, and on the way to Maui, they took my full size container of shaving cream. Good grief. I think I've gotten the system figured out now.
